Young Living Lemon essential oil is another oil I wouldn’t want to be without! Lemon is naturally antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral, and antipathogenic in general. This makes it very effective as a cleaning/sanitizing oil. Lemon discourages some insects such as fleas and flies and can be safely used on dogs and horses. Another exciting fact about lemon essential oil is that it is one of the less expensive essential oils to purchase!
Some uses for lemon:
- Sanitize / cleaning / eliminate bacteria & viruses
- Combine 2–3 drops of lemon essential oil with water in a spray bottle to help cleanse and sanitize surfaces
- Add 10–15 drops of lemon essential oil to a gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help pull out stains, brighten carpet and rugs, and leave a fresh smell in the room
- Soothe sore throat
- Mix a drop of lemon with a tbsp honey & 4-6 oz hot water, then drink to soothe throat
- Gentle detox
